Old newbie from Ireland

Hi there, my name is Dave and I am a petrosexual. Dunno where my old intro thread is gone so I thought an update was in order. I used have an XT660X which I lightly modified using this site as a guide. They are a great bike with a little fettling, mine came with Akras and I added a power commander, kev mod, fork spacers and other farkles. I bought the H&B rack off a member here.

I sold the xtx and bought a ktm 990sm but it was too nuts for everyday use. This bike is like dynamite with handlebars. Nothing before or since was as violent as the 990sm and I'll have one again if I can afford it as a toy.

I have one of these for Sunday blasts, I've had it since almost new and I'll never sell it.

I got this earlier this year, the TTR250 is a capable enduro bike and I like to ride to a green lane, explore a while and then ride home.

I also have one of these - an eBay accident involving alcohol resulted in me waking up having bought it in an auction... Oh well, it's fun for nipping to the shops - anyone else have one?

See you around!

Welcome back... introduction posts move faster as they are replaced by new ones of new members, yours must have disappeared down here.

So are you planning to go back to "sanity" and get another XTX / XTR / XTZ after you flog that moskito scooter back on t'bay?

Yeah, I'm shopping for an xtz at the moment. I should have bought one years ago. I need a commuter bike and I think the 660z will do the trick.

I can't sell the MadAss, I've promised it to my son for his 18th birthday. It wasn't expensive and it is huge fun around town.

I'm halfway between Galway and Tuam in the West of Ireland. Drop in for tea if you are passing, kettle is always on.

Been up your way a few times - I'm in Kerry. Fine collection you have there! Hope you find an XT - I got the one on Donedeal recently ;-)

That was a well priced bike! I looked at it earlier in the summer and it was €1000 more expensive - I was in the US when he readvertised it and it was sold by the time I got home. I hope you changed the rear tyre before going on wet tarmac! Well wear!

:welcome: back to the fold.

Just get it over with and buy a new one! ;)

And knowing my luck I'll have just placed the order and they'll announce a super new 55bhp lightweight version with led headlight, 25litre tank and traction control...

...and a (much needed) 6 speed gearbox...

Hi and welcome to the forum

always wanted a shot on one of those madass bikes but then I sat on one when I was 16 in the shop and it was like a push bike with a bike frame and a gaint on top!!!
