With a 42T on the back, you're running quite high gearing unless you've got a 14T on the front? Maybe try the standard 15/45 gearing?

What sprocket have you actually got on the front at the moment with that 42 on the back?

15/48 is good in traffic/intersections...
I use 15/48 or 14/48..

I also have that ratio ... but fitted an Off-The-Road 525 kit along with the drive double bearing modification and the South African poly cush drives.

That setup's been on for 10,000 kms now and is proving to be a fantastically smooth and reliable configuration. So far the wear factor also looks just great as well.

As against a 15/42 ratio ... a 15/48 sprocket will feel like a rocketship off the line :YellowCrazy_J8GDC6:

15/48 it is then thanks for the input folks looking forward to my rocket :D :D
