Portugal 2014 Oct/Nov
 

Hello everyone,
Anybody heading to Portugal in October/November for some dirt touring?
I'm thinking about 2 weeks long lightweight camping style run, could stretch to 3 weeks maybe and catching last ferry back to UK.
Anyone keen to join or know some people with similar plans?:campfire:

Planing next year 3 weeks ,july, Faro concentration.....

There isn't much of a plan at the moment :icon_mrgreen: .... but I want to land in Santander, blast to north Portugal and just head down south doing as much dirt as possible. When I run out of time I will just turn around and head back north.
Anybody has some recommendations, best areas to explore? GPX files?

Tempting tempting.....

Just checked what have I clicked last week and it looks like I booked a ferry to Santander on 14.10 arriving on 15.10 ... little did I know.
There doesn't seem to be such thing as a last ferry any more Keith, they run from Bilbao deep into the winter .. open ended adventure, we could just ride fes fes forever I guess!

Seriously though .... what's the plan for this year? Old goats, new goats?
Infamous goat scarer? Is this perhaps an extreme edition I've been waiting for?

I only have two weeks unfortunately and dread riding tarmac for half of it that's why I'm looking at Portugal .. why don't you lot join me for a nice north to south run?

Hi Tom..

Did you get your engine fixed?..if so what was the problem?

We'll be heading away as usual with the same old goats plus two extra ones.

We'll take the same route but will scout another different route on the way back up,stopping in Meknes to Moulay Idriss to Chefchaouen via Karia-Ba-Mohamed and Mokrisset. We'll take this minor route just to wind the whole trip up.

After Midelt to Erfoud we'll try an off road route on into Merzouga from Erfoud.

We'll also try M'hamid to Foum Zguid for a bit of sport!

Hopefully we'll take more days wild camping in than last years ride out.

Could take us maybe 18 or 19 days so I understand your problem if you've only 2 weeks off. :(
