I have just fitted a new chain after 12,000 miles on the original one. The improvement is very noticeable, less vibration, smoother gear change, smoother transition from on off throttle and I can pull gently from slightly lower revs in the higher gears with out the snatch. I have fitted a DID VX X ring about �80 including a spare split link so I can use my old chain in emergency. Just to compare I have also just fitted a new drive shaft to my wife VW Sharan �75 I could not make either in my shed but the drive shaft looks best value. Steve.
