the bike is 1 week old and has 1200 km on the clock.

Welcome aboard, SOT. A fine collection of bikes and an even finer collection of Miniature Schnauzers! If my wife ever agrees to a dog, which is highly unlikely and probably why she doesn't object to my bikes, a Schnauzer, Miniature or Standard is on the short list.
