Hello from Perth

Good morning all,

Just wanted to say Hi, I have recently sold my Yamaha R1 and bought a new xt660r, and am loving it, sure I can't do 300kph any more but the R1 just wouldn't do rocky hill climbs so it's a fair trade I guess.
Anyway having a look around you lot seem to know everything there is about the XT so I look forward reading and learning about my new ride.
If there's anyone in Perth and you want to hook up for a ride just let me know, I'm in.
Cheers.
Johnsy.

Thanks every one you lot go alright ay, Hey CarstenB, where abouts is that pic taken, I'm in the swan valley but if you're keen to hook up for a ride some time let me know I'm almost always up for a ride if I'm home.

that's one of the many gravel roads in the Perth hills, close to Mundaring Weir. If you get on Ashendon Road from Mundaring Weir Road there are many smaller roads and paths that are good fun.
I usually squeeze in a ride when i have a bit of time on the weekends so it would have to be on short notice...

Macca2801 I must say that looks awesome!! not sure if my tyres would have me moving forward at any great rate at the moment, once I get some good nobbies I'll be in for that for sure.

Yeah I have TKC80s and thought they would struggle but only once got caught out but it was a nice "dry" section. Rock hard centre between vehicle ruts and it was covered in a grey slimy surface...instant 180!!

Hiding under the water are ruts like the first photo...you see why we are skirting the sides and walking first....
