I've just joined the forum. Due to pick up a pre owned XT660 Tenere on Monday.
I'm a 51 year old early retiree and have spent most of the last 15 odd years riding litre road bikes but have now fallen out of love with my current bike.
Thought I'd have a change and am looking to rediscover the fun and excitement that seems to have deserted me. I'm hoping the XT will reward me and look forward to spending a lot of my retirement getting to know and enjoy the bike.

Oh yes I got it. Completely different than anything I've had in 30 odd years of biking.
Love it. Totally fun and my recent retirement, plus the decent weather, is giving me chance to get used to it.
Kids love it. Grandson loves it and dare I say the wife loves it although she won't get on the back. She never has done before, which suits me just fine.
If I could figure out how to post pics I would.

Just sign up to any image hosting site (such as Photobucket, Flickr, Dropbox etc�) and then upload your pictures. Once you have your pictures hosted online, they'll each have their own unique URL (web address) which you can then link to your posts here on XT660.com

All you�ve got to do then is click on the "insert image" button on the toolbar when creating your post/thread and paste in the direct link (URL) of the hosted image you want to display, then we all get to see your new Tenere!
