New prospective owner in Sydney
 

Hi all - TG here in Sydney. I'm looking for a new bike, downsizing from my KTM SM950 to something more capable of dirt. Been really enjoying more adventurous rides out of Sydney, and while my Kato has been a fabulous companion for adventures of all sorts for the last 6 years, I'm really enjoying mixed dirt / tar riding, and the SM is a road bike really.

After usual exhaustive research and test riding am down to 2 bikes, the Sertao or the Tenere. Had a great day out on the Sertao recently, and looking forward to trying the Tenere out this week. The Sertao is a very nice bike, but perhaps a little soft-roadish - and I really like the looks / styling of the Ten, its on & off road reputation is great, and it seems to suit my 193cm a bit better.

Great forum by the way - have found out an awful lot about the bike here, and looks like there are plenty of useful mods & farkles to be had to make the bike a great fit. Also seems like you all are really keen on the bikes, which also helps. I'll let you know if I choose one (with pics of course) but for now just wanted to say hi & thanks for sharing all this good info.
