Sidelights keep blowing
 

Not sure if it's because I keep buying cheap crappy 3rd world bulbs but both front sidelight bulbs have been blowing for years on my 09. They last about a week now. I can't even be bothered to replace them any more. Just curious to see if anyone else has this problem and what you did to fix it. What's the standard Amperage for those bulbs ?

They are 5W bulbs which equates to about 0.4A each. Easiest way to solve your problem is to change to LED 501 bulbs. They are hardly any more expensive than the filament type.

I've had the LEDs fitted for the last five years and no failures.

Yeah I did have LED's a long while back but even one of them blew. Maybe due to age though as it was in there a fair while. Changed them out to 501's as they were easier to find in the America's.
