Just thought its time to sign up and join in. I have been into motor bikes for most of my life but have drifted in and out a bit, after my last sports bike I was going a bit nuts (as one does) and though it was time to give it a break which was about 5 years ago, then built a Volkswagen rod in my garage http://z13.invisionfree.com/VolksRod...showtopic=3984
After a holiday back to my birth country of South Africa in December and meeting up with some old friends I was convinced to rent a GS and go from George to Jeffries Bay and back to George all off-road which was two days that will never be forgotten covering a bit over 10000km in the two days. We'll needless to say as soon as I got back home I sold the volksrods and bought a 08 XT660Z and lovin it :blob3:

That must have been a mighty fast GS you had? Reckon you must have averaged over 200 Km/h non-stop for two days to get the 10000Km in!
