xt660x dashboard
 

Hi there,

a question from my side to someone who has an experience from the past. I got my xt660x, 2006, dashboard hard to read. LCD display shows almost every segment of it, just like when you turn on your ignition key. I have removed dash board from the bike in order to repair it, with the hope :) But after taking it to my working desk I found plastic covers very hard to open without breaking them. It seam to be glued together when assembled in factory. I wonder if any of you mates already tried to dismantle dashboard plastics and manage to reach electronics without breaking any parts. So the opening technique could be passed to myself :) Perhaps, hot air gun applied with caution to joint surface.

Or I'll have to improvise, or even better look for the replacement part on the market somewhere....

Unfortunately I got exactly the same issue (XT660Z 2011).
