No, you might be right about the Ohlins?

I've had Hyperpro and the Ohlins fitted to my Z and the Ohlins require use of a spacer which is supplied in the kit. It is quite possible that Ohlins use the same length springs for all the models, but supply different length spacers to suit the forks/travel/weight of bike?

With the Hyperpro no spacer is used, so the springs I guess have to be the right (different) length for each model.

Have you cross-referenced the Ohlins part numbers for the three bikes?

I thought I had,but not on my laptop now so will go back tomorrow and check again.currently having g a fuelling issue with my k7 trackbike so may not have any XT time, I'm at Rockingham on Sat.

I've saved you some leg work! ;)

My inquisitive mind got the better of me and I couldn't resist finding the answer!

Here you go:

Ohlins XTR fork springs are indeed different and longer. Only available in 5.0N - Part no. 8709-50

Ohlins XTX and XTZ are the same, and interchangeable, but with spacers used on the Z. Available only in 6.0N (there used to be a 5.0N spring, but it was/is discontinued) - Part no. 8716-60
