       Hi from Sydney

Just wanted to say hi. My name is John and I'm buying an 08x as a commuter as my busa was written off by a silly lady not looking where she was going. And when I get my new busa the xtx will be going to the wife.
Question though, are there any big hitters out there that can give me advice on suspension? I sat on the one I'm buying and it felt like one of the kids rides at the shopping centre (Compared to the race suspension I had on the busa). Thanks and I have a lot of reading to do to get the best out of my new toy. |

Hi mate and welcome:) have a nice time here.
Regarding the suspension there are few things that can be done: use the OEM forks and rear shock and put just new springs, there are few good manufacturers like ohlins and hyperpro. This will change the bike feeling a lot. On the other hand you can buy a aftermarket rear shock and use YZ forks - will need some rework but nothing major. Here you can find few threads on the topic. Even I have seen a fella fitting Kawasaki KDX 650 forks to XT, which worked perfect. Hope this helps. Enjoy. |

Welcome on board and enjoy the XTX, in my experience you will really have some fun and this site is a wonderful guide to get the most out of your steed. Enjoy!!!
