I have just bought a 2011 XTX with only 300 miles on clock, really pleased with bike (apart from the 'standard' low rev problems with fuel system). I wondered if I need to take it easy for a while to run it in. The dealer informed me that it had already had its first oil change/ service.

Engine Break in

I think the engine break in millage is about 1000 KM or 625 miles according to the owners manual. But if i where you i would take it easy for the first 1000 miles.

Have you checked the airbox for cobwebs? ;)

Welcome on board and who on earth averaged 100km a year??????? Amazing. If I were you I would fill it with fuel and add some STP or similar to clean the fuel system and injectors cos the fuel would have gone off a bit, standing for so long.
