Rusty spokes

Hi guys,

I have just discovered some early spots of rust on my XTR spokes on both wheels. I have not ridden the bike during he winter or salty conditions so that surprises me.
Can someone recommend a remedy?
One, the most obvious, would be to change for stainless steel ones - OK any source to recommend apart of OTR?
Treatment with some coating?

Cheers.

Rusted spokes...pretty standard.

Mine got rusted when I kept my bike in the garage.

you may try them:

Same on my 63 reg tenere, 2800 miles all the plating is coming off, hoping Yamaha might change them for stainless under warranty.!!!!

They may change them for new but it would be the same spokes so not really worth the hassle, stainless you will have to do for yourself.....

chain oil and the dust sticks to them,rust-tick look:violent5:

Great advise, mate. Thanks. I will try with "dry" Teflon chain lube to see the results, will keep you posted.
Cheers
