Nz db1k 2014
 

just finished the DB1K 2014.. Is a 1000km ride over 2 days of lower south island back roads , tracks , trails..
I was rideing with a 660Ten & KTM 690... Only came off twice.. drop it in a river & tossed it at about 80kmh on a gravel road
that dam gate came from nowhere..just around a corner diddn't see it till it was to late..
A guy broke his collor bone on the lanomore the chopper stoped by us thinking we may have been the group they were looking for
we pointed them in the right direcction as we had passed the group they were after about 15 mins earlyer...
The Lanomore section was 20km of mud & bog holes.. but most was hard packed rock/dirt/ gravel , most lightly done 20 plus river crossings over the 2 days.
There was 150 riders signed on for the ride..
Was a long weekend.. Sunday we were on the bikes for 14 hours to complete the ride...
