Sprocket nuts

Hi all. I'm having a bit of a spend as you do, I'll post some pickies later however I want to get some gold rear sprocket nuts and I'm worried about some things I've heard regarding them being weak any advice please ie ally, titanium, or at a push I'd settle for stainless. Or should I keep them standard :/
Cheers.

i was watching waiting for a reply but ill speak to my mechanic today get his opinion and post for you

spoke to mechanic today his verdict is the aluminium ones have a problem when trying to torque down properly the softer metal doesnt like it and it can lead to the thread being pulled apart he said if u have to go light go titanium apart from that stick stainless

Mine rounded way too easily so I replaced them with stainless

Hi,

I replaced the rear sprocket yesterday and ruined one of the nuts when trying to torque to manufacturer's setting 70nm.

It guess is time for me to replace the nuts. Can I ask where did you get yours? Was it in the UK?
Is it worth replacing also the six bolts on the cush drive? Not sure if the corresponding bolt was damaged.

Thanks!
Angel
