Out of all the genuine accessories fitted new to my bike, the centre stand is the only thing left. Hand guards, panniers, Akrapovic have all gone - there are better alternatives out there, but not the centre stand.
The Yamaha stand is cheaper than others and does the job well. |

Swmotech do a great centre stand. Easy to fit, solid as a rock and twin springs. Feet could be bigger for offroad but they all would sink in sand etc and could be enlarged easily.

Fitted H&B centre stand yesterday. Straight forward enough to fit. Took a bit of practice to get the bike up on to stand but once method worked out it was pretty easy.

Thanks for the answers , will be going for the oe stand as no poor reports and is the cheapest , great to get real life feedback from you all. :006:

The only trouble I've had is the little rubber bung / stopper fell off.

I use the SW stand. As already said it fits eaisly and is very sold.
I dont know about the OEM stand but it's a heave to get it onto the stand and once up it's very unbalanced. I went on a ferry with full luggae on the back and a full tank of fuel. The slightest push forward and it would have rolled over the stand and over. You might want to see and try a few examples first to see what is best. But in normal life it's fine for me...just so easy to knock it forward and off the stand. Mike |
