Both would work with Yamaha Panniers.

There's nothing wrong with the Akrapovic system as such; it's titanium (cans), very well made, looks sweet, is a good design in terms of gas flow with proper Y-pipe and equal bore link pipes (unlike the similar looking Leo Vince) and it sounds great. They are expensive to buy as a standalone accessory, but if you barter with the dealer when you buy a brand new bike, they can be had very cheaply - which is what I did. I have to say I wouldn't have given them a second glance at the full asking price!

I changed it (them) for a few reasons: (1) They still have cats. (2) They're only 1Kg lighter than the stock system. (3) I wanted a single can so I could fit a tool tube. (4) I got bored after 4 years and fancied a change! ;)

lovely pics guys, a local motorbike fabricator got back to me after i left a message on his machine (he was moving units) and he is going to modify my stock one, remove cat and have a go at getting it to run with baffles pipes rather than mechanical baffels

Thanks for the reply. I am thinking of changing mine and to be honest it's good to hear real life opinions from those who have used them. It's also great to see all the pictures and other options available.

Cheers all.

I too am contemplating swapping the standard system, nothing too blingy or expensive. MTC single I think as I quite like the look and price!

Question is, does anybody have a video or sound clip of the single? I do want it to be louder in terms of safety whilst on the road, however I cannot get along with ear plugs so do not want it to be deafening.

Any advice/clips greatly appreciated.

PS sorry for the slight on topic hijack.

Tom
