Penrite Oil

Hi All,
Just a bit of info. I've been in touch with Penrite oils here in Aus, looking for a comparable Aus product to Motul 5100. I sent them the oil spec as per the XT owner guide: Reply
"We recommend the designated motorcycle oil MC 4ST 10W40 OR 10W50 FOUR STROKE OILS"
Penrite oils are available from Repco and Autobarns stores.
I paid $70 for a 3L Motul 5100 from a bike shop. I can get a 4L of Penrite MC ST4 10w50 semi synthetic from $43 from Repco.

Can you change the font color in the future - its hard to read in black?

Good advice Glenn. I wonder what Kev thinks of the Penrite?

I've been running Motul 5100 and yes it's expensive. You bought a 3L tub? That would be perfect! The bike shop I go to only had it in 1L or 4L tubs, which is inconvenient (mind, I paid less that $70 for 4L). Buying by the 1L is stupidly expensive but 4L is way more than you need. It just means you have some left over for next time - but not wanting to mix oil brands/types I have to either chuck out the excess (waste!) or stick with the Motul. Guess I'm locked in at the moment... :101:

Sorry - couple of typos in there - 4L of Motul 5100 from Team-moto for $70. And the Penrite oil was $39 at Repco.

I have been using Penrite HPR 5 in my nearly 80hp Xt for some time now with no problems

WOW!! nearly 80hp

Would you care to give us a quick run down on those mods ?. Bit more than a upgraded spark plug at a guess :)
