Hello (and help!!!)!

Well, I've been a long(ish) time lurker on this site, but thought it was about time I actually said hello!

I live in Rainhill (Merseyside) and I've got a black 57 plate XT660R and I love it - had it about a year now and ride it all year. Hoping to get off road on it eventually, but at the moment it's just regular commuting.

Also ride a Ducati Monster and have previously owned R1200GS, Triumph Speed Triple 955i, and Yamaha Thundercat!

I feel a bit bad that my first post is actually because I need help, but the bike has a HID conversion and it's packed in. The problem I have is how to get the :cens1: headlamp off. Owners manual says 'undo 2 bolts and spacers, then lift to remove'. Done that but it doesn't seem to want to come free of the bike. Is there anything else that I should be doing?

Thanks,
Dave.

Hi all, thanks for the welcome, and especially to you Gary - was great to meet you this afternoon, and thanks so much for giving up your time to help get my bike sorted, and the other tips and tricks too - the bike's feeling a lot better with the 'tweaked' CO setting, and it's great to be able to see where I'm going!
If I can return the favour, just let me know...
Cheers,
Dave.
