As long as you don't get stuck in a traffic jam the passive air cooling will probably be enough in northern europe. The risk is only that the led's life will be to short if its gets to hot.

Led fan has now stopped working. I am pretty sure it is not necessary as the fan is no even warm to touch. Still happy with the low beam as it is a fraction brighter and yet uses half the power of the stock light.
On the hand the led for the high bean is useless. The light is like wide angle lens on a camera. |
