Tenere

Hello from Italy!
I'm a fairly new Tnr owner (XT660Z) and I'm all for adventure, so I'm really in love with this bike! I want to know more of it and address some details which could be improved. Of course I'm also here to share some enthusiasm for those great bikes! :109:
Gotta love the Ten! :sunny:

Happy riding to all the fellow bikers in here, whatever they ride and however they do it!

:006: Welcome on board mate.

Nice bike and or course, even better it's in the best colour. I notice you have fitted the black tank protection panels and seat from a later bike too, which very smart.

Hi! I bought he bike used (third owner) and the crash plates were already that way, they are painted black, not originally black. I am considering re-covering them in black since after a couple of falls (while stopped) the show cracks in the paint surface, but hey, the bike's gonna fall again, so why bother? ;-) The seat also came that way, it is the one of the "easy ride" optional kit which lowers the bike a bit. I'm happy I found the bike already lowered, that saved me some money.

Never realised there different seat options on the Ten!!

Maybe I was asleep when someone mentioned it before :sleepy1:

Probably just lowered with shorter dogbones in the suspension and maybe lowered front forks 1-2cm in the clamps ?

You are correct! :-) that, plus the seat is modified to be lowered a bit. Few centimeters less that make a HUGE difference.

Where did that Seat come from? I literally took out the hacksaw to mine this week and it doesn't look so good.

I got it with the bike, which I bought used (I'm the third owner), but I will ask the previous owner about it.

By the way those photos are really good. Really captured that autumn feel.
