Exactly why I don't see the point.....I get it, but it's ridiculous.....But then I use my stuff for what I bought it for...

I don't doubt that teher will be a new 900 "adventure-style" Yamaha. It will be aimed squarely at the F800/Tiger800 crowd and thus will be mainly a road-oriented bike with off-road-capability looks. The market that Yamaha used to fill with the TDM. But since the Tenere brand is a lot sexier it will probably be an XT900Z rather than a triple cylinder TDM900.

Have heard from a reputable source that there is a prototype in testing as we speak.

Imagine the mt09 engine in something designed specifically for off road use...

Jeez.
