I got a XTR 2007 with 27000 miles and it rides so smoothly with out any surging, great bike! Not sure if it helps with your question?

Hi! No idea about second hand prices of this bike.
The best you can do is look in a second hand website so you can have lot of bikes to compare. For example: motos.net
