80 or 0

Hi Guys,

Couldn't bring myself to pay 80 for a screen extender thing so it was back into the garage to look for a cheap alternative.

Found the broken peak off of an old MX helmet, hacksaw and a can of spray later, two screen fixings and Bob's your uncle.

Works a treat....Doesn't look straight in the first shot due to the angle but it is...

What next ?

Well done Gibbo, that loks awesome and I bet if functional to boot....I know I need one, as I put my hand there while travelling and the wind noise drops immediately!

Why the painted screen, was that like that before or did you do it to match the extender? How do you find the screen dark/smoked? I find I look through mine occasionally and couldnt imagine it blackened out.

Matt.

I painted it because it was a little scratched in places and I liked the look of all the Rally Raid bikes out there with painted screens....I never look through mine and found that I couldn't look through it off road. haven't noticed any issue with it blacked out and it ticks my box for looks.

I stand up off road and obviously look straight over the top.

It was an easy job, sprayed black from the inside with the whole front masked to avoid overspray and it looks lovely and glossy from the front and will never get stone chipped..

Do it, you know you want to.....lol :026:

Hahah I may just do that but I m not decided on mine being white. The black screen looks great on the Black Tenere, finishes it off nicely...
Thanks
Matt.

I've seen it done in white and it rocks....

If I can find the pic I reckon you'd do it.....hold tight...

Now that is thinking outside of the box :) How about putting slots in it to make it adjustable?

Didn't think of that, easy enough to do I reckon....

It's just right though as combined with the double wind comb set up I have zero turbulence at 60 and only a tiny bit at 80....

Its a pleasure to ride now for mile after mile after mile...
