new paint job
 

Bought a spare tank for the tenere, flatted it back, 2k ford white, flatted back and give it another few coats, fitted graphics yesterday, will be giving it a laquer in the next few weeks..

ive done the grey plastic aswell.. and front mudguard...

what you guys and girls think?

Nice! where did you get the sticker kit from? White and red looks good, red rim tape too??

I've always wanted mine yamaha blue....you know, the darker blue (not that light metallic blue they did them in).

Also with black plastics....the annoying thing is they've realised the 2013 model in that exact scheme!! So if i go through all the effort of getting my sprayed its not going to look custom, it will just look like a standard 2013 bike. :(

give it a 3 coats of lacquer, another 3 tomorrow, then a flat back with some 1200 and another blow over and she will be going back on...

its not turned a wheel in 3 years due to be injuring myself, just left it on a optomiser, and start it ever month...

Did strata florida last month, F$%^&NG excellent !!!

As fair as I got, had other jobs also, had to swap petrol sender and cap

front end is now done, now taken off the grey side plates, either going to paint or carbon wrap, the rear end is also off, hate the grey..

Blimey looks great!!! does anyone know if I could fit a larger tank to my XT660X cos the standard 15L is a joke. Can I fit the Tenere tank?? Thanks ciao Simon

not sure on the carbon wrap, need to get better at it, may just paint them..

The white tank and tank protectors look awesome on the bike :thumbsup:

But imho the carbon wrapped and shiny black parts don't really suit it. I would go for a flat black paint for all of those.

the carbon was a matt finish, but I sprayed it with 2k lacquer lol...to be honest im messing around with different finishes atm...

new battery (now on optimisor
The mileage is 2100, not turned a wheel in 3 1/2 years

might be more but that's about it for now..

forgot its got a inline fusebox, one 12v supply in, allows you to run other fused supplies from it snazzy bit of kit..

What is an 'inline fusebox' anyone? I did notice another bigger fuse box, with only a couple of wires coming from it..
