Just to let you all know that my R1 went the other day and I pick up my 2011 All black XT660z Tenere on Saturday. I can't wait, she's only got 4K on the clock and is in showroom condition. Glad to be part of the clan..... Watch this space I will be asking a million and 1 questions no doubt.... EXCITED ? OOOHHHHHHH YEAH !!! :newspaper: Question number 1, what is the best most knobbly 50/50 tyre you put on the bike ? I need it to perform off road as well as on road. I was looking at the K60 scouts ? |

IMHO Continental TKC80s were made for the Tenere. However, there are lots of decent options out there and everyone has their own opinion on tyres... |

Welcome to the forum. +1 for TKC's. I am fitting a new set today in fact. I normally get 3000'ish miles from the rear (more if just tarmac use after that point) and up to 7000 from the front but normally change at 6K when I do the rear for the second time. Have tried other tyres like most people and always reading reviews but always return to TKC's. They work for me and my riding. �156 the pair is ok as well.
