How the he!! do you remove the ignition lock
from the top triple clamp on a XTR...:dontknow:
looks as if it riveted on.... Is drilling the rivets
the only option ?

They're not rivets.

They use special bolts which shear when they're torqued up, specifically so thieving types can't just overcome the steering lock by unscrewing the ignition barrel.

So yeah, the only option is drilling them out.

You use a special share bolt socket, you knock the socket on with a hammer, we use them at work to remove share bolts.

Remember take pictures :)
