Spanish n00b showing up!

Hi y'all! This is mishco! :newbie:
Spanish rider and passionate English learner!
29 yo, married, 1 child + 1 more coming, software developer (that's all you need for the moment! haha)

A couple of months ago I traded my V-Strom 650 for an XT 660 R.
It was really easy to come along with the change of behaviour, loss of weight and of course, loss of power.
The main purpose in the trade was getting a bike that I truly love, both visually and mechanically speaking; and starting riding off-road OF COURSE! :laughing7:

I'm going to start messing with snorkel removal an CO settings to soften the low rev's range, as I've been reading here.
Since I live on the "low cost side of life", that will be all for the moment!

I rode 1700 km (~1050 mi) the first month; commuting, on and off road, and it's been a huge pleasure, a very big surprise. This bike is really sweet and I think it matches 100% my current demands. :077:

Well, since...
:needpics[1]:

Here you are some of them!

Have a nice summer y'all!

PD: By the way... Is there any way to set an avatar here being just a plain user?

CaptMoto 10-07-13 14:23

Hola y :bienvenido: desde :660:

Yes you can use an avatar from your own disk drive however it must not exceed a certain size, don't ask me what size that should be becuase I've forgotten myself. Just keep trying until the software accepts it.

:006: Hi mishco - welcome aboard!

That's a mighty fine looking XT for its age. :coolsmiley:

Click on "User CP" in the top left of the page, then select "edit avatar" and follow instructions - that's it - simple!

Don't see any "Edit Avatar" option... :017:

Thanks for your words!
This morning I tried the bike w/o the snorkel and increased CO 10 points.
It's sooooo smoth now!!!

Hiya Mishco and welcome on board!!! The good thing about this site is that these guys know really everything about these bikes and they love to help, and you can easily modify your bike gradually as money allows. And the 2 mods you have already made were free!!! Have fun, ciao Simon

Thanks!
I'll keep on reading about mods :icon_study:

Got no f^*?ng idea why, but it seems that I don't have that option available.
I read somewhere around here that avatars could be restricted to some user groups.
Maybe as a "non-supporter" I don't have that right?

CaptMoto 11-07-13 16:28

No its nothing to do with being a supporter, we have a lot of non supporters with avatars, but I'll ask Jimbo the IT specialists to see if somehow there is a bug.
