Finally got mine, after 20+ emails, one wrong set and another few e-mails and a lengthy wait they arrived, they are brilliant....
I didn't use the easy to buy link as there wasn't one when I ordered.... got there in the end though... |
Arrived - they're awesome!
pictures to follow, but Blue shortie levers with yellow/gold adjusters on a Blue 'Ten look better than the OE stuff.
Stupid question though, the Front brake is slightly sticking, is there an easy way to adjust the brake? cheers |

Bizarre that this si the only way to adjust it though! |
Mine was sticking because it was just a bit to thick so i took just a bit of the sides where it is inside the base.

I was well impressed with this thread until I discovered that the item was "ended". However, perhaps they'll resolve that soon. Can anybody please tell me if the XT660Z levers will fit a 2004 XT660R?
|
I think The levers are much better than I expected. Not only do they look good. What they make the bike feel much sportier to ride.
Thanks for the tip |

Just wanted to say thanks for the effort to sort out the info and links. Ordered a set for my ten and they arrived within a week and look great. Still to fit them but offered them up and they look like the right ones. Will post pics and let you all know how the fitting goes. Scott. :thumbsup[1]: |
Are these levers still available looked on the EZMoto shop and they don't show levers atall.

I have contacted the seller (Sunny), who has been very helpful in the past, to get a definitive answer on the situation. Hopefully it's just a supply issue or something minor and they've temporarily pulled their listings for CNC levers. Watch this space... |
Many thanks I'll keep watching and checking out Ebay.

:toot: Good news - All sorted!
Exchanged emails with Sunny today and he's given me a fresh link to the "new" XT660Z Tenere page on the ezmoto ebay shop. There are now several types of lever available for the Tenere: -The cheapest, the one we've all been buying at 28.89USD/17.53 -A better quality version of the above which has greater resistance to colour fade ( as El Forko found) for 43.38USD/26.32 -There are also folding levers now and dial adjuster levers too, both in two levels of quality and all specifically listed for the XT660Z. Got some more good news too... Sunny has offered to do the upgrade from any of the basic quality levers to their higher quality equivalent for just 5USD(3) extra for XT660.com members. Just got to hear back from him as to how we're going to work the discount... Anyway, here's the link... EZmoto ebay Shop XT660Z CNC Levers Page Hope it all works and you can find what you want... |
All sorted and ordered, many thanks for doing this for me.
Now I just need to order all the other farkles I want for my XTZ. Tim |
What length?
What length are people buying and using? I run Touratech handguards and my lever balls are very close to the plastic. Are the standard length levers listed here longer or shorter than our OEM levers? Or do I need to order the short option? They look like they are a 3 finger type of lever, is that right?
Many thanks |
I have the short option (the 3 finger type). That way they don't come close to the handguards.
|

Go for the short three-finger version, the long ones are pretty much the same size as the stock levers. |
I bought myself a set about a month ago and they took about 7 days to turn up.
So much nicer than the originals. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f4...ps3cd07f40.jpg |
Length adjustable
I have ordered the length adjustable ones to give myself the option on the blade lengths. Just waiting for them to show up. Will report back once I have fitted them.

|
They fit!
Great quality, and they were a five minute fit! They have given a good clearance with my KTM handguards.

Do any of you guys know if the brake & clutch levers are the same / interchangeable throughout the XT range (R, X, Z)?
Just found this interesting offer on Aliexpres, but it's for X & R, and I'd need them for a 2009 Tenere / Z : http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Stret...051107974.html |

The levers on the X/R are different and not interchangeable with the Z. |

Just like to say the the last link on page 6 still works as I have just ordered some after losing my balance in the carpark at work dropping the bike down its right side & bending the original brake lever. Other than a slightly scuffed bar end that's all that got damaged. Cheers.
|
Hey Desert Racer, I call that the Tenere topple! , I am always amazed at how well it takes a tumble. I've dropped mine a few times and not a mark on it .....just a few bruises on me! . Steve

I bought a pair from ezmoto 2.5 years ago and have ridden 20000km since (total 24000km) and today my clutch cable gave up...
That is way to early as i'm used to ride over 50.000km before even thinking about replacing a clutch cable. On closer inspection i can see the wear in the lower side of the new clutch handles base and that the edgers there are very sharp - A CNC machined edge... I've sandet it at bit more round now and temporary fixed it with this bolt on: http://dyncdn.thg.dk/img/99161590089_0_m_400_700.jpg Don't know the name in english |
In the interests of balance, I've had 4 years out of my EZ-Moto levers and no hint of any wear, fraying or problems. Still on the original 2008 clutch cable.
That's probably the kiss of death now. Knowing my luck it'll break tomorrow! ;) |
Quote:
So when i get the replacement cable i'll keep the handle a bit out and then adjust it by the engine. I had it all the way in since i fitted the barkbuster with the logic that as the cable stretches i'll only need to adjust it outwards .... |
I got mine off eBay for 18 delivered. Get all my small levers from china been using them for about 7 years never had a problem with any of them. And I brake late and hard.they Have been as good as the pazzo levers I used to buy at 130 a set. Thought I would give the cheap ones a go, 7 years later still using them.
|
Just some info on the post that was on the end of page 6 (Pleides) that talks about an upgrade offer is no longer available as this is the reply that I got from the seller.
"Dear buyer, The post is from 2 years ago, sorry we no longer have this deal and Sunny has left the company a long time. Regards, Kelly" |
