what is happening on a few of the road bikes now to save a few $
only one fork leg works the other is just a sprung dummy leg...
Triumph tiger has one leg doing the return damping the other doing the
compression damping..both with springs in...

Apparently MotoGP bikes use the one way damping per leg thing. It's not unknown in the world of registerable bikes. I had a TE610E with the same setup.

It didn't seem to matter much. I'm not good enought to pick it. The Husky did have a big front axle and strong triple clamps, though.
