Hi from the Wandering Walton's
Hi XT660.com
I'm brand new to this site (I think) so here's a brief intro. I picked up my Bright Orange XT660X on Tuesday 25th. It's on a 57 plate with 8800 miles on and has been stud for almost a year. Wednesday I pulled off the battered hand guards, grips, rusty mirrors dinted belly pan and airfiltter scoop! Thursday I fitted heated grips, new hand guards, Carbon fibre coated the scratched front mudguard and gave 'Tangoed' a bit of a tidy up. I've R&G front and back spindl bobbins on order along with a K&N filter and some cheap mirrors from China. I'm looking at a set of Arrow Can's but will be reading more & asking advice before splashing the cash. Plus it needs a chain and sprocket set. Then we will be good to go! 'Tangoed' as my Manc Rider mates have christened the XT is for fun n games! & that as they say is that! All the best Ray Pre-Tidy Up! https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-5...o/P1000104.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-7...o/P1000106.JPG |
:006: Welcome on board Ray
To be fair "Tangoed" doesn't look at all bad in it's pre-tidy up guise - or is it just because the sun is shining! :icon_sunny: Enjoy your fun 'n' games with the XT! |
X's do look good in the sunshine.

hi and welcome to the forum
|
Thank's for the warm welcome folk's.
Got to admit the tyres were on in that state. The front is from a track bike that the previous owner put on to get through MOT. Shame they never checked the spongey front brake, the shot at rusty chain and the goosed rear brake. How it passed the MOT I'm still at a loss to know. Still it's keeping me busy. Heated grips are a bonus. Still waiting for the mirrors to land. Looking at putting a new set of tyres, new chain n sprocket set and cans on ASAP then I'll be happy! Need to have a root around the forum proper for Tyre advice and sprocket set ups. |
Nice looking bike.
