mpg check and surprise
Did a longer than normal run yesterday for work related meeting and as a nice day elected to go by bike
So brimmed the tank as the petrol light had just illuminated Squeezed 12 in @ 1.30 a litre So 9.23 litres/ 4.5= 2.05 gallons And managed 121 miles, giving me 60 mpg Was nearly all very boring dual carriage way, between a indicated 80-90 which is almost flat out for mine Pretty chuffed |
1.30 a litre....... Where do you get your petrol! 1.40 around here :)
|
Most garages inside the ring road are 130.9 here
I did notice all the garages off the dual carriageways yesterday where nearer 140 Just lucky at the moment I guess, |
Yeah, 60mpg - good innit?!
Most XTs seem get around the 60mpg mark. I get up to 68mpg if I'm in a fairly chilled mood at say 65-70mph on dual carriageways or pottering around on back roads. When I'm in the groove and giving her the beans that'll drop to about 53-54mpg. I've now covered 4000 miles on my 2009 XTX using 305 litres which (at 4.546L = 1gall.) gives an overall consumption of 59.6mpg. I'm suitably impressed with that! :) Petrol out here in Gloucestershire is around 132.9-133.9p at the mo. |
I regularly get 4.4 - 4.5 liters per 100 km and mine only has 2200 km om the clock. Please note that I mainly commute on mine, and about 50% of my commute is 110 km/h om the highway. No complaints here!
