Hello from Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute
 

So although the DRZs was a phenomenal bike and she was ready to tour, that seat was just not agreeing with the old derri�re. So I found a cheeky 2011 XT660Z Tener� locally and have made the change. Initial thoughts were "kinda sluggish" but hey, if I get good range I'll be happy plus that seat is to die for :)
Hopefully I don't need to be on here with tech problems but will be looking forward to reading the many posts.

The restlyed seat on the later models must be a whole lot better than the original one on the 2008 bikes then! I'd be lost without my Airhawk. ;)

Welcome Gaz - sorry I missed out on your DRZ, would have been great sitting next to my XT660Z and for more technical trail stuff. Enjoy the community and your new Tenere, they are fantastic bikes. There are plenty of mods on here to give a bit more umphh.

Cheers everyone. Yeh Loopydog, the DRZ went yesterday, was killing me inside seeing it go, one agile bike and bulletproof. Phone is still going with folk asking if it's still for sale. Still, time to move on:)
