Never mind the speeding - the guy managed to turn a simple parking ticket into a jail sentence. Not the cleverest, I think.

Things that gives me a sigh of relief:

1) we are safe in the knoledge that this forum is completely without dicks like that (although beware we have onboard quite a few policemen / women among the members not just from UK but Europe too)

2) XT's are not speed rockets designed to be so dangerously fast.

Capt, oh Capt! Number 2 smacks of power control! While I agree that the new breed of road bikes (and even adventure bikes) are not embarrassed for grunt, I believe in a person's democratic right to own such equipment without judgement.

Clearly there are squirts who shouldn't be on the road on these bikes, and I was one in my yoof. (on gear that was gutless in comparison, but alarming nevertheless). And so is Andy. But he got done, and that's good.
