Hi,
I've been reading about XT's for several weeks and have just joined the forum. In a couple of months I'm moving from Australia to Catalunya (Spain) where I've made up my mind I just have to get a Tenere.
I've been riding road bikes for over 30 years but very little off-road. Can anyone recommend a good book on trail riding techniques, equipment, bike set up etc? I can't wait to (1) get the bike and (2) get it dirty!!

Welcome to the forum, plenty of tenere modsnetc on here in the xtz tech section to get you started.

As for books etc I can't help there but I'm sure someone will be along soon who can

There are plenty of Adventure motorcycling handbooks, but don't know of any trail riding ones off hand. Here's a website that's got some useful basic tips and skills to get you going:

Welcome to the BEST site ever and I guess you need to try the bike with some gentle trails with an experienced mate and you will surely learn.......have fun!!!
