lakes trip

Well itls tempting but a long way from here. Mmind you I haven't been to a rally for twenty years. Wheeabouts in the lakesnis the campsite . I'm guessing round penrith way. Lemme think about it.
Big concern is the trail riding.....I'm definitely a timid novice.....and I don't do alcohol.

between Penrith & Keswick,

You don't have to trail ride, you can just ride the roads, or pick up some rough roads, or sit in the sunshine all day talking crap!

Well, given that I'm off booze too, at least for the next few months, you can keep me company!

LAkes?

at GULG:- I see you've got the green badge on your sig line - me too but I must admit after 25 years of it I dropped away - it was turning into a sports bike owners club.
Would appreciate a refresher tho. If I come down to lakes then I'll seek you out and you can observe and criticise me

Definately come down chap. First time I went to the lakes I had never rode trails before and I never had any problems. The guys are really good and will offer any help etc.

I have a 4hr ride and im meeting scottnet who is coming up from the big old capital I beleive to mine first. Think a few chaps came down from scottland last year too.

Yes.... some groups are like that. We're lucky here, there are no ego's to keep in check, just staying alive! Our local examiner's are rather strict too, even when I passed my red badge, I was subjected to a 20 minute replay of what I could have done better!!
