Xt gearbox

Guys looking for some advice. Took my xt660r (07) out for a ride today after a long lay up. Got the MOT sorted no problems. Noticed problem changing up 2nd to 3rd and to 4th. For awhile I thought it was clutch adjustment as i seemed to be able to bypass the problem by clutchless gear changes. anyway I adjusted the clutch but still there was the problem. It just won't engage on the up shift. If I revved hard its seem to help.

Any ideas guys as to what's wrong with my beloved XT??

Cheers

If it all works properly doing clutchless changes, then it sounds clutch related to me?

That's reassuring, cheers. Going to ride it tomorrow and see how it goes. It's been sat for a long while. Stupid really should have taken it out more often!!

Get some fresh oil in it (if you haven't already) - that'll make the world of difference to clutch and gearbox operation.

Check your cush drive rubber and look at your chain tension, these if worn will make the gear lever stiff
