hi and welcome to the forum

if its the crankcase you may be rubbing your foot when changing gear. I noticed after a while I started doing it with my xtr

:hello: and :welcome: to :660:

undo the gear lever fixing bolt make sure the lever itself is straight and when you refit it make sure you don't push it all the way inwards before tightening the bolt, that should give the engine casing more room between the lever and the paintwork, however more often than not those problems are also caused by your boots or the preevious owner's.

Spot on I will try that I've looked at putting a strip of carbon around the casing to protect it
Is their many other mods I can do as I've had a CCM 644 and that was an animal and this seems a little tame other than having pipewrex carbon cans on their doesn't seen to be a lot of mods out their for this bike
