Gutted for you mate. Was it stolen from your garage, or from out in the street? Anything more you can do to keep the bike a bit more secure in the future?

Very sorry to hear that, specially since I myself have had my XTX stolen.

Best of luck.

That's no fun. Sorry to hear that. I certainly would be sorry to loose my bike. I hope it's recovered in reasonable order.

Mate - that is truly pants. I have lost a few decent bicycles whilst being in this country and have been (still am) gutted. I hope that you can replace it on insured value but I know that advertised value does not equate to real world value of these bikes, which is quite frustrating.

Good luck!

guted to here your bike got nicked. I wouldn't keeps your hopes up for the police or insurance company getting your old bike back. but for 2.5k I'm sure you could pick up a good second hand xtr or xtx

It leaves a sick feeling, my wife left her SH150 outside a coffee bar here in Roma for an hour and did not fit the D lock antitheft device and yes the bike "walked" so we lost the bike, 2 helmets, waterproofs, the D lock etc etc and the insurance pay out about 1000 Euro LESS than the real value........

So sorry to hear that mate, gutted for you too. I know the feeling... I had two XR400R's stolen, and one of those was only six weeks old. :(

How much did you pay for her? I know you'll lose your excess (which can be a lot of dosh), but if you send a copy of the receipt to the insurers they will have little grounds for offering you any less than you actually paid for the bike with it being only five weeks since you got it. Don't accept their first offer - they always try to beat you down on the value to start with, it's standard practice. Argue the toss (supported by adverts of bikes of similar age & mileage) and hold out for the best settlement you can get.

Good luck buddy, and I hope you find a nice replacement soon.
