End of the line

I sold my XT660Z Tenere last week Friday due to circumstances
I can't be without a motorbike, I will go mad
So I'm collecting my brand new Kawasaki KLR 650 tomorrow
Second best to XT
So I'm not allowed here any more
It was fun while it lasted
Thanks to all

Who said you're not allowed here anymore? :BangHead: That's a load of old... :cussing:

Come back anytime you like and enjoy the new bike.

i really like my klr maby as its very rare in england
the big problem is the really poor suspension off road

but sort that and its a very very good duel purpose bike

enjoy your new bike

Cant comment on the KLR, because they are so rare on our shores Did have a day out with a guy on one in Mid Wales a few years ago and it went and did everything well enough. Mind looking at Minkyheads pics they are'nt the best looking bike ...hey:lol: but beauty is in the eye an all that shizzle !!!
At least its a large thumper hope you enjoy

klr vs xt

nice looking bike buddy. as kev said, plenty here in oz (up north they seem to outnumber the xt's by 6:1). guys ive chatted to rate it as a great bike. sure youre going to be very happy with it. ride on!

its kawasakis third all time best sellin bike ...wow

why ??
its been in production since 1903
it dead cheap to buy
its simple ..like me carbs ect
its low
its easy to manage
its simple to maintain
its very robust

is it better than a xt ??

in a nutshell ...no

is it easier to manage off road than a xt for a average rider .. yes
prividing you do somthing with the suspension that is ..its total sh ite

any advantages over tyhe xt ?

very soft engine delivery .. much more tractable in the gears
much better to keep traction in proper slippy tracks
3rd will pull at 1500
4the at 2000
and 5th at
2500
standard gearing is much more tractable and much more usable off road

not as top heavy although it looks like a pig on stilts

carries heavy loads lower too

for a better more confident faster off road rider the xt has the thumbs up

enjoy your new bike

i have been allowed out to play ...

with standard suspension all this stupid tenty sh ite would be 3 inches off the rear wheel and the bike would be ubstable ..mable
