Rubber flap and essential maintenance
So i started to strip down the rear end this afternoon. In my thoughts of instead of spending money on new exhausts I thought I might de cat the OE one. I also want to trim the rear number plate thing also to avoid it being so in the way of mud and flying stones. It all comes apart very easily really, but as Im known for being heavy handed:icon_lol: before I break the rubber mud flap thing how does it come off... is it by the black fixings the go into the swingarm. I ask this as because Ive gone this far I may as well get the swing arm greased up, so I know its done for a while. Also going to get some copper grease on the chain adjuster bolts
While Im at this point is there anything else I should get stripped and greased ??? |
just push the centres in on the plastic clips and lever out with a big blade screwdriver ..thay can be tight through mud
may as well do the suspension bushes dont trhink there is any other greaing points at the rear watch out for the swingaem spacer its good to loosen it putting iyt back on to make it easier |
