Forum ride-out....Salisbury Plain.

Sorry.....Ride cancelled for now due to the weather.
***************************************

Place....Salisbury Plain.

Does anybody fancy a full day's ride around Salisbury Plain on the Saturday of the Easter weekend.
All the public right's of ways will be open to use including the Imber range/village.
Max of 8 including me and forum members get first dib's at the places.
Tyres....It will be hard work on road tyres,so MT21's/TKC's/E-09's will be needed,as apart from the muddy bit's,the ride will cover alot of grass area's.
Meeting point will be a little roadside cafe....
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X...0028&A=Y&Z=120
to be away by 9.00am ish,so if you want a full English, please allow time.
There will be plenty of stops during the day,so no need to turn up with a full tank/tum as we can top both up as we go.
We will cover at least 100 miles off tarmac and even if we have a dry spell, there will be plenty of water about.
Cheers,Andy.

Planning to visit Imber on the Saturday with a couple of mates, but not intending to do as much off-road as you are proposing.

And 9:00am start is early!

Might see you there or somewhere on the Plain.

I really fancy meeting up and joining in on this trip (XT660Z) but family commitments and worn out Siracs may prevent it. There is a chance I could sort tyres in time and do til lunchtime if that was possible? Not knowing you chaps I should say I'm more of a plodding explorer rather than an enduro ace (those days are long gone!) and wondered what kind of pace you set generally on ride outs like this. if I can't do this one I'll definately be interested in any upcoming rides in the hants / berks/ wilts surrey area! I'm less than an hour from the plain and the Imber bit looks pretty cool! Rob Mc.

Hi Rob....no probs if you have to shoot off at lunchtime, and the pace will be steady as I like to enjoy the views.
Ref tyres...worn Siracs will be a bit of a problem this time of the year,so If you can't change them in time,we can always meet-up later in summer.

Cheers,
Andy.

Some things never change.

There are a few spare places left if you know anyone else from ABR that would fancy it.
