Any Australians?
 

Hello! Newbie here.

I'm from California. This April I am traveling to Australia and renting a Tenere 660 in Melbourne. I am landing in Melbourne on April 9 at 9pm. I am picking up the motorcycle from Garners Motorcycle the morning of April 10. My plane back to the US leaves May 9 at 9am.

So, a breakdown of my itinerary (so far, still a work in progress):

Arrive........Depart
9-Apr........12-Apr Melbourne
12-Apr......17-Apr Sydney
17-Apr......21-Apr Gold Coast / Brisbane
21-Apr......25-Apr Mackay
25-Apr......2-May Cairns
2-May.......5-May Cairns to Melbourne
5-May.......8-May Melbourne

In total, its 28 days on a bike in Australia.

I'm looking to meet people who can show me around, show me what this bike can do, and in general just have fun!

Lots of Aussies have XTs. I'm in South East Queensland if you are ever in the area. Inland from the Gold Coast.

Gday Mike. Im also up near Cairns. Theres lots of great rides up here and some really nice countryside. Sealed tar and rainforest ranges all along the ocean coast (you can see the reef in places) with red dirt outback just west of the great divide (Mt Mulligan, Palmer river). Plenty to do and see. Drop a line when youre up this way.
