Value?

Hi folks,

Looking for some help here. As I mentioned in someone else's post a few months ago, I'm toying with the idea of going back to an inline four. I do enjoy the X however since swapping the R1 for it just over a year ago I feel something is missing.

I'm thinking of getting an XJ6S as it has a fair amount of weather protection and the ride position seems not too harsh, and they're not too pricey.

Has anyone rode one of these or had any experience of one? Any advice is welcome.

Also, any ideas what mine is worth. It's a 2010 model I believe on a 2011 plate. Standard apart from MTC cans and a Puig screen. Only done just over 2,000 miles.

Thanks in advance.

Call the boys at Alf England in the Midlands, they know all about Yamahas and prices and stuff. Ask for mark or Martin they are very helpful. I think that you would find the XJ6 a bit gutless, the 800 could be better??

Just to confirm, I was thinking about getting an XJ6S which is the half faired new shape Diversion. Not the FZ which is the Fazer which is available in an 800 and 1000 version.

I have spoken briefly to the local Yamaha dealer with regards to trading mine in and he's mentioned between 3-4k as a price.

I've looked on eBay and othe places but there doesn't appear to be any consistency. I've seen 2006/7 models advertised for that price!!

I've got a FZ 800, love it, it's like a baby GSX 1400, loads of power, etc.

But MCN did write up about 800'@ and it didn't go down well, but they know nothing.
