This is a long over due hello.I have now owned my xt660z for just over a year.It's a 2008 model which I bought with only 4k miles on the clock. I have done quite a few mods: Akrapovic 2>1 end can,PC V,dna stage 2 with snorkel removed, Ais blocked off,Adventure spec bash plate,SW motech spot lights, main beam mod so that the dip beam stays on,Aux fuse box for heated grips etc..
I use the bike for touring and can honestly say that it ticks all the boxes for me. Without the very helpful posts here on the forum I think I would still be in the shed with a confused look (which is most of the time anyway!) Cheers. Neil

Hi, I did the headlight mod as although the dip beam was good the main beam was awful. I got the instructions from a thread where you can wire the dip beam to stay on when on main beam. I originally found that when the main beam was on the light was too far ahead leaving a black hole in front of you.

Why how much are they ?? Does look smart mind, my favorite of the single cans

I got the Akra, PCV and dna filter off of ebay for �500. I think the price for the Akra from Off the Road is �799? + the PCV and dna filter. I've put a tool tube from Adventure spec on the other side just to balance it out and also very handy for putting the chain and lock (or bottle of ...)
