best way to clean my k&n air filter,any advice never cleaned
one before

As per manual:
- spray inside with K&N soap,let it soak
- rinse under tapwater or in a bucket ( no high pressure)
- let dry ( not on any heating)
- spray lightly with air filter oil on inside

is this the same for a DNA filter version?

Pretty much - just remember to wash gently in the opposing direction to the air flow.

Don't use compressed air.

Oil along each pleat one at a time if using the DNA oil dispenser (which I prefer) - the K&N oil comes in an aerosol and is a bit of a bind to get an even coating on the Tenere filter because you have to oil the inside.
