Newbie no bike months wait

Hi to all my name is Alan and from mansfield in the uk, i am 47yr old and been away from bikes now for 7yrs since starting my own business, my last bike being a ZX7R full track day tool, K-Tech suspension Arrow Titanium works system, digital data logging, 800cc long stroke motor, etc, fell out with riding on the road and did the track days as i thought it was getting unsafe and licence absorbing on the uk roads.

Did the SM thing back in 2001 with a Husky TE610, front fork spaces same as Kevs, SM rims, Scorpion developed a Conical titanium single can race system for me, gas flowed, cam, FCR carb yes the Husky also had surging issues too, race ignitor box, but the track day bug started and the Husky went.

So here i am now and looking for a toy thats not too expensive, easy to mod, nice to ride everyday, good for a nip to the coast, reliable etc, i find reading the posts on here addictive so i might be in the right place, going to have a good look this weekend but think my mind has been made up got to be the XTX, just need the best deal, will keep you up to date and look forward to posting my progress, thanks for a great site Alan.

No probs mate will come over have a holiday and pack bike in case, the xt seems to be a popular bike in Aus, got pals live in Coffs Harbour ? think thats correct he uses old Ktm 525 for getting about, just wish we had a little more sun now and again, thanks for the offer also.

One sleep OMG tried counting sheep but all i can see is me chasing them on the bike, checked weather out for the morning looks typical UK bike weather, rain wind and a chance of snow, so Wigan here i come.

Adioz 09-03-13 21:42
