RealRider ???
There is a new social networking site on the block, RealRider, geared towards riders.
www.realrider.com Only went live in the last few days, but I was wondering if there are any other XT riders on there (I know there is one registered in Dundee.... don't know who though?) It's a very clunky site, and still in beta, not sure how popular it will become...... open mind and all! anyone ???? |
Looks like a promotion for a phone app and advertising safety gear to me, but who knows may grow to something useful.

Looks like an attempt to sell you stuff based on spurious claims about safety and how their product 'clearly' would have done magic in some scenario.
Relying on a smartphone for any sort of emergency communication is laughable in itself. Assuming you crash more than ten minutes from home the battery will be too flat to do anything anyway. |
I have the CRADAR app on my phone, this looks like the same thing but with a website added...

Waste of a fiver ?
I signed up for the app. It's supposed to notify emergency services if you crash. The biggest problem I have with the app is, you have no way of telling if it is on or not. There is no 'on / off' switch. Nice idea, but .......
